Zen Data Storage

Thinking about what it would be like if USB sticks were simple.

Also thinking about putting back a few features, potentially Multi-Directional Positive Grip as can be seen in the Benchmade knife below, and also considering how an LED and tow point should be incorporated.

I'm sure you've seen these, which are very similar in appearance to your design, but maybe even smaller. I enjoy using my 2GB MicroSD card in a similar reader as my portable workstation. I've got Firefox and a slew of other portable apps that I use at school and work. Considering there are 4GB MicroSD cards around, this may be your solution.

Thanks Josh, Yeah I have seen a few cool micro SD card readers, also including these ( http://www.sandisk.com/Products/Item(2630)-SDSDQY-8192-A11M-SanDisk_Mobile_Ultra_microSDHC_8GBCard.aspx ) and their faster big brother. I was hoping not to use a removable format but it does seem like an interesting opportunity.

Also, how do you put links into your comments so neatly?

try making the usb drive with a smooth-curved indent on the sides, similar to a 'worrystone'

then you can incorporate something that will grip these indents like a clasp.

Leaf man,

Not sure what you you mean by "something that will grip these indents like a clasp"

I have put the model on 3D Warehouse, down load it and show me what you mean. http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=a93e745265d134f2cb56d526ed9a7cbf

Sorry I still don't know much about including links.
